How to create a Windows event log?

To export the relevant Windows Events follow these steps:

- Open the windows Event Log
- On the left side click on "Windows protocols" and then on "System"
- Now the Windows system events are displayed in the middle window.
- Search for Error events (with a red exclamation mark symbol) that have a smart card related titel in the "Source" column.
- Mark all relevant events (e.g. 5 to 10 minutes before and after the smart card related errors) and click on "save selected events" on the right hand side. The eventlog will be saved as a .evtx file.
Please attach the .evtx log file to your support request. |
