This document focuses on enabling AirID FIDO2 security key based passwordless authentication. At the end of this article, you will be able to sign in to web-based applications with your Microsoft365 Azure AD account using a AirID FIDO2 security key.
Requirements
- Azure AD Multi-Factor Authentication
- Enable Combined security information registration
- WebAuthN requires Windows 10 version 1903 or higher**
To use an AirID FIDO2 security key for logging in to web apps and services, you must have a browser that supports the WebAuthN protocol. These include Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

Open 1. Open your "Windows Settings" 2. Navigate to "System" go 3. Go to "About" search 4. Search the page for "Advanced system settings" or "Rename this PC (advanced)" beneath the Related settings section - both open the same control panel !!panel. 5. open the "Advanced system setting" (again both will open the same dialog)and go to the tab "Computer Name" and click the "Change" button 6. Leave the "Computer name" as is for now and select "Workgroup" Most commonly windows uses "WORKGROUP" as value for "Workgroup" 7. hit "OK" 8. Now you'll be prompted for ...
