You will learn how to operate your AirID FIDO with a few very basic steps.

Pair your AirID FIDO with your host device.
Follow the steps below to set up the Bluetooth pairing:
- Turn on your AirID FIDO
- Make sure the Bluetooth connection is activated on both, your AirID FIDO and your host system
- Depending on your platform, initialize the pairing process on your host system*
- Windows 10: System settings > Devices > Bluetooth
- MacOS:
For secure pairing, compare the displayed code on AirID FIDO with the code displayed on the host system and confirm the pairing code on both sides, the AirID FIDO and your client
The pairing information will be saved on both sides, the AirID FIDO and your client. Therefore this pairing process only needs to be done once per host device to get started.

Register your AirID FIDO in your desired Application
Before you can log into your desired applications with the AirID FIDO security key, you have to register your AirID FIDO once in the application.
There are already more than 700 applications supporting the FIDO standard and growing daily, thoose applications include Apps like
- Microisoft Azure
- Microsoft o365
- 1Password
- Crypto Trading Platforms and social media applications

Name your AirID FIDO in destined Application
Most applications provide a pop-up window to set a name to your FIDO security key.
This field is completely free of choice and is aimed to help you identify the key used later on.

What is FIDO
FIDO challenges a whole industry.
Instead of having passwords, or password managers for all sorts of Applications* each app gets their own individual security key, stored inside your AirID FIDO.
*Applications can be anything like: o365, Azure, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, 1Password, Github, Binance
How can I Backup my AirID FIDO
FIDO by design is made so that it is not possible to export the stored keys.
Instead a secondary strong authentication is advised.
This can be annother AirID FIDO security key or a certificate based authentication (Smartcard).
