Question

After an AirID firmware update to version 2.x.x, AirID doesn't connect properly via Bluetooth to my devices. What can I do to make it work again?

Answer

Probably you missed the warning information that after this firmware update a new pairing would be required.

Due to security improvements, a re-pairing is required after updating the AirID firmware from version 1.x.x to the version 2.x.x. Therefore, the pairing information must first be removed on both sides - AirID and your host device. Then, as with the initial setup of the devices, they can be paired again.

Please follow the steps below:

Step-by-Step
  1. Remove the pairing information from your AirID: navigate to AirID > Settings > Reset > Reset BLE and confirm to remove "All"
  2. Remove the pairing information from your host devices (depending on the platform you are using): go to the System Bluetooth settings on your host device and delete the stored pairing information for your AirID you want to connect to.
  3. Make a new pairing of your devices as you did when initially setting up your AirID (depending on the platform you are using): Start the pairing request from your host device. For secure pairing, compare the displayed code on AirID with the code displayed on the host system and confirm the pairing code on your devices.
  4. Now your AirID is ready to use as usual.
