Question

What can I do if AirID is not available after standby on my Windows device?

Answer

If AirID is not reconnecting after the Windows device was in standby mode, try changing the Bluetooth energy settings.

Step-by-Step

Changing energy settings of the Bluetooth Adapter

  1. Open the device manager and right click on the Bluetooth Adapter and choose "Properties"
  2. Click on the Power management tab and uncheck the the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Changing the Wireless Adapter settings to maximum performance

  1. enter "edit power plan" in the search field on the task bar and click on the edit plan settings menu.
  2. Click on "Change advanced power settings" and choose "Wireless Adapter Settings" and then "Power Saving Mode"
  3. Change the settings to maximum performance for battery and plugged in mode.

If the menu "Change advanced power settings" is not available, it can be activated by setting the registry key "CsEnabled" in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power" to 0.
