Question

How do I determin which Windows rollout scenario i'm currently using?

Answer

One of the more difficult tasks as a user is to find out which of the listed szenarios oneself belongs to.

For this we have a simple way of finding out using one command Microsoft provides.

Step-by-Step

Please follow the steps below

  1. open your command prompt
    • ( Press: Windows Key + R and type in <cmd.exe> and press enter )
  2. in the CMD shell type in or copy the following command
    • Dsregcmd/status

  3. For the output we want you have to scroll up a bit, there it will present a list like this:
    • AzureAdJoinedyes/no

If this says 'yes' you're good to go as soon as the other prerequisites listed here are met.

If this says 'no' there's a good chance you're still rolled out via hybrid enviroment as listed here

EnterpriseJoinedyes/noThis is a special case covering federated devices which will be likely the same Hybrid devices
      DomainJoinedyes/no

If this says 'yes' you should check if you can login via https://login.microsoftonline.com if this is beeing the case you're most definately rolled out in a hybrid enviroment

if this says 'no' as well as 'AzureAdJoined' saying 'no' you're most likely in a single instance szenario therefore we got this guide here

...further information about the client...Information listed below this line are mostly information relevant to your admin at this point and give some more information about the user and machine account. abd are very much self explanatory.
