Question

What to do if ONEKEY Bridge is shown as a HP Printer on Windows 7 in the Windows device manager?

Answer

Step-by-Step

If ONEKEY Bridge is incorrectly detected as a HP printer device, this is a problem with the HP BIDI printer driver and Windows 7. The wrong driver is assigned to ONEKEY Bridge and it cannot be used with the Central software. In order to fix this, the correct driver needs to be assigned to ONEKEY Bridge manually. The AirID Installer should be installed with the Option “WinUSB Compat” selected. This only needs to be done once:

  1. Connect the ONEKEY Bridge to your Windows Device
  2. Open the Windows device manager
  3. Open the USB devices tree. There should be a HP BIDI device shown.
  4. Right-click the USB device and click Properties
  5. Go to the Driver tab and click Update Driver.
  6. Click Browse my computer for driver software
  7. Click Let me pick from a list [...]
  8. Select WinUsb Device and click Next
  9. Windows will show that the new driver has been assigned successfully
  10. Check that ONEKEY Bridge is now correctly listed as WinUSB device
