My PC is in a local active directory and I want to switch to an azure active directory.
Answer
at least local administrator privileges are necessary for this task
Step-by-Step
- Open your "Windows Settings"
- Navigate to "System"
- go to "About"
- search the page for "Advanced system settings" or "Rename this PC (advanced)" beneath the Related settings section - both open the same control panel !!
- open the "Advanced system setting" (again both will open the same dialog)
- click the "Change" button
- Leave the "Computer name" as is for now and select "Workgroup"
- Most commonly windows uses "WORKGROUP" as value for "Workgroup"
- hit "OK"
- Now you'll be prompted for... TODO!!!
